Welcome to Mali's Culinary Delights!

Hello! I’m Swarnamali, and I grew up in the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka. 12 years ago, I moved to the United States, settling in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. Though I was excited to start this new chapter of my life, I found it challenging to locate authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in my neighborhood. This challenge, however, ignited a spark within me and led to a beautiful journey of culinary discovery.

In an effort to recreate the cherished flavors of my upbringing, I began cooking my mom’s traditional dishes in my own kitchen. What started as a personal endeavor to satisfy my cravings quickly turned into a passionate hobby. My kitchen became my sanctuary, where I could blend the rich, exotic flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine with the diverse, international influences I discovered in Los Angeles.

Sharing these culinary creations with my family and friends brought me immense joy. Their encouragement and appreciation fueled my passion, inspiring me to share these delightful dishes with a broader audience. This is how Mali's Culinary Delights was born.
